CS General Office Clerk
A small boutique insurance company is seeking a CS General Office Clerk who will service existing clientele and perform general office duties. They should be smart, eager and willing to learn. This position also has the ability to be hybrid once they are off training, however training will need to be done in the office.
Job Description (including but limited to the following):
- General office duties include faxing, filing, copying, answering phones, editing, formatting
- Creating insurance related documentation to be presented to insurance carriers, clients, and prospects
- Processing insurance certificates and other various duties as requested.
- Customer service duties may include conversing with clients and insurance carrier representatives regarding policy renewals, policy amendments, coverage terms and conditions, certificates of insurance and other insurance related matters.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of transactions
Skills and Requirements:
- Prior office experience is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree a plus.
- Experience working in insurance industry a plus.
- Excellent P/C skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, maybe some Outlook) and accurate and data entry and typing skills
- Understanding of standard office procedures and practices.
- Excellent organization skills.Ability to multi-task and juggle between projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multi-task and juggle between projects
- Ability to be an effective team member and handle assignments responsibly.
- Candidate MUST be willing to study for and pass the Insurance P and C license test
- Must live locally
This is a temp to hire assignment and located in the Conejo Valley area. The pay range is between $20 to $21 hourly. This position would be Monday-Friday 830-4 during training, and once they are off training, it would be 830-430/5.
