Our client, a CPA firm, has an excellent opportunity for the right professional, dedicated to public accounting and committed to the highest level of proficiency and client service. The current opening requires a minimum of two years in PUBLIC accounting having experience both in accounting (write-up, compilation) and tax (planning, preparation).
They provide a variety of financial services to their clients, including in-house payroll, business management and financial wealth management services. They have been in business over forty years and continue to experience robust growth and expansion. This position is expected to play a pivotal role in that growth with significant opportunity for individual growth and advancement as well.
Current responsibilities of this position include:
Preparing and maintaining financial statements, records, and general ledger accounts, including journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations, on a monthly/quarterly basis dependent upon the clients’ needs. Preparing individual, business, and trust income tax returns
Preparing tax projections and planning.
Meeting all processing and reporting deadlines by working proactively with the client.
Responding to information requests and tax notices.
Assisting with audits.
Assisting the Manager as needed.
This position requires:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of accounting and tax preparation experience (minimum of two years in PUBLIC accounting) or specialized advanced education in lieu of a portion of that time.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal since the successful candidate will interact directly with clients on a regular basis.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience with QuickBooks, Desktop and Online, as well as with different tax/accounting software
Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
Good problem-solving and time management skills; must be able to work on multiple clients/projects simultaneously.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to work independently
CPA or in process of obtaining CPA license.
Hiring Requirements:

Must be available to work in office M-F if necessary. They are currently on a hybrid schedule, but this position may require working in the office during busy seasons and/or for training and other business needs.
